Torremaggiore Autumn is the cultural event series that the municipal administration of Torremaggiore, a town in the Alto Tavoliere area of Foggia, dedicates to the autumn season. Promoted by the departments of Cultural Policies and Local Cultural Promotion, the program weaves together music, theater, visual arts, literature, and civic moments, with the stated goal of blending tradition and innovation in a rich and high-quality offering.

Music, theater, and art

The calendar alternates between concerts, theatrical performances, exhibitions, and book presentations, ranging from Neapolitan songs to prose, and from contemporary art to meetings with authors. Alongside high-profile guests, a central role is played by local talent: amateur theater companies, school groups, marching bands, and city associations enliven most of the events, making the festival a collective project that involves the entire Torremaggiore community.

The Ducale Castle and the Fabrizio De André Theater

Events are distributed across the town's main venues. The symbolic heart of the festival is the Ducale De Sangro Castle, an imposing historic residence in Torremaggiore that hosts exhibitions and the town's art gallery. This is complemented by the open-air theater named after Fabrizio De André, a stage dedicated to the festival's performances, along with various squares and halls in the historic center.

A proposal for the city

With its multidisciplinary format, Torremaggiore Autumn serves as a reference point for the cultural life of Torremaggiore and the Alto Tavoliere, in a territory—the Apulian Capitanata—rich in tradition and history. The festival accompanies citizens and visitors throughout the autumn weeks with a widespread program, largely free of charge, which enhances local historical heritage and the town's associative energy.

2026 Edition

The dates and program for the 2026 edition have not yet been announced by the Municipality of Torremaggiore. The festival traditionally takes place between September and October; the updated calendar will be published by the cultural departments in the weeks leading up to the start of the event.
