Aperitivo dinner and grand masquerade ball in the heart of the Alta Langa
In the small town of Torre Bormida, nestled in the woods and hills of the Alta Langa, in the province of Cuneo, the Carnival is one of the most anticipated moments of winter. In a territory defined by intimate villages and a strong sense of community, the masquerade party becomes the perfect occasion to gather, shake off the winter chill, and celebrate one of the most beloved traditions of the Piedmontese popular calendar.
The heart of the event is the Albergo Ristorante Pizzeria Nuovo Secolo, a historic landmark for the town's social life. Here, thanks to the dedication of the Rizzolo family, an evening comes to life that combines fine food and entertainment. The event begins with a convivial aperitivo dinner and continues with the grand masquerade ball, which transforms the venue into a lively dance floor until late in the evening.
The soundtrack of the party is provided by voices and music from the local scene: the entertainment is curated by Fabio Gallina and Jolly Jay from Radio Vallebelbo, the radio station that has been accompanying events in the Langhe and Monferrato regions for years. Between dances, entertainment, and a parade of the most original costumes, the evening maintains the carefree and playful atmosphere that has always characterized the Carnival.
Although it is an intimate celebration, the Torre Bormida Carnival perfectly represents how small towns in the Langhe experience traditional holidays: with simplicity, human warmth, and a great capacity for community. For those visiting this corner of Piedmont, participating in the party means discovering the authentic hospitality of a village where conviviality is still a shared value. The masks, the aperitivo dinner, and the music blend into an experience that tells the most genuine story of the Cuneo hinterland.
Reservations are highly recommended, given the limited capacity of the venue.
