The Tollo Carnival

In the heart of the Chieti hills, among the vineyards that have made Tollo famous, the Tolle Me Carnival is the event that transforms the town into a cheerful open-air stage every year. Organized by the Pro Loco "Tolle Me" of Tollo APS, the event brings the magic of Carnival to Piazza della Liberazione with its traditional parade of allegorical floats, masks, and a community-wide celebration.

Allegorical floats and square festivities

The most anticipated moment is the parade of allegorical floats, built with passion and creativity, which travel through the town center amidst music, confetti, and streamers. The square fills with color and joy: it is an authentic village Carnival that involves both young and old in the spirit of popular participation typical of Abruzzo.

For children and families

The Tolle Me Carnival is designed especially for families: alongside the parade, there is entertainment for children, with games, shows, and activities, as well as food stalls where you can taste specialties and traditional carnival sweets. An afternoon of celebration that combines tradition, fun, and genuine flavors.

A Pro Loco d'Abruzzo event

The event is part of the extensive Carnival with the Pro Loco of Abruzzo program promoted by UNPLI, which brings together dozens of events across the region every year. In Tollo, a town in the province of Chieti known for its winemaking, the Carnival is an opportunity to rediscover the community spirit and local folk traditions in one of the most characteristic locations of the Abruzzo countryside.
