A festival dedicated to the king of the table

The Tolfa Truffle Festival is one of the most anticipated summer gastronomic events in the Tolfa Mountains, the hilly region overlooking the coast north of Rome. For two consecutive evenings, Piazza Vittorio Veneto — the village's main square — fills with tables, aromas, and music to celebrate the truffle, a prized local product harvested from the surrounding oak and cork forests.

Rione Sughera, the soul of the festival

The festival is organized by the Rione Sughera, one of Tolfa's historic districts, with the support of the Pro Loco of Tolfa and the patronage of the Municipality. As in many villages in Lazio, the districts are the beating heart of community life: volunteers manage every aspect of the event, from cooking to table service, turning the festival into a moment of collective pride and hospitality for visitors.

The menu: truffle in every course

The food stalls open at 8 PM and offer a menu designed to highlight local truffles in every way:

• Appetizer: mixed bruschetta and local cold cuts
• First course: truffle pasta or amatriciana
• Second course: truffle pork loin or truffle eggs with salad
• Traditional desserts from Tolfa

For the 2026 edition, the adult menu is priced at 25 euros, while the children's menu (pasta with tomato and basil, burger and fries, water) costs 15 euros: a formula designed with families in mind.

Live music, DJ sets, and foam parties

The festival is more than just food: every evening is enlivened by live music and entertainment. In 2026, the band Rock e i suoi Fratelli took the stage on Friday, while Saturday opened with the Trio d'Autore, followed by DJ sets and a foam party late into the night — a mix that draws all generations to the square, from food lovers to the younger crowd.
