A month of Christmas events on Lake Bracciano, in Anguillara Sabazia
This edition has not been confirmed by the organiser to date. We recommend checking before going.
Natale InCanto is the widespread Christmas festival that brings Anguillara Sabazia to life, one of the most picturesque villages overlooking Lake Bracciano, in the Province of Rome. For about a month, from early December until the Epiphany on January 6th, the medieval historic center and the Ponton dell'Elce lakeside transform into a journey of lights, music, and traditions, with a packed calendar of free events designed for residents and visitors alike.
The heart of the event is the Christmas market, which stretches between Ponton dell'Elce and the streets of the historic village, particularly Via del Molo. Stalls offer handicrafts, local products, and gift ideas, while festive lights and the lighting of the tree in Piazza del Molo mark the start of the celebrations. For the little ones, the Santa Claus Village is set up, featuring entertainment and themed activities.
An important part of the program is dedicated to music: the churches of Anguillara, from the Church of San Francesco to the Collegiate Church and the Regina Pacis Church, host Christmas concerts, choral festivals, charity events, and gospel concerts with international groups. The local folkloric band accompanies various moments of the festivities, blending popular tradition with the Christmas repertoire.
The food and wine dimension is not to be missed: in the historic center, a trail through the wine cellars and the flavors of Lazio comes to life, with tastings of typical local products. Closing the program, according to tradition, is the Living Tombola of the Epiphany, a moment of collective celebration deeply felt by the community.
Natale InCanto is organized by the Municipality of Anguillara Sabazia together with the Pro Loco Anguillara Sabazia 2007 A.P.S. and local associations, with the aim of enhancing the village and its view of Lake Bracciano during the holiday season. Participation in the events is free, and the festival represents one of the best opportunities to discover Anguillara in the heart of winter, amidst Christmas atmospheres, culture, and conviviality.
The official calendar for Natale InCanto 2026 in Anguillara Sabazia is not yet available. Awaiting the announcement from the Municipality of Anguillara Sabazia and the Pro Loco, we can expect the return of the now-consolidated format: craft and local product markets, festive lights, the Santa Claus Village for children, sacred music and gospel concerts in the village churches, and food and wine trails showcasing the flavors of Lazio. Dates and the program will be updated as soon as they are communicated by the organizers.
Anguillara Sabazia is located on the south-east shore of Lake Bracciano, about 40 km from Rome. By car, it can be reached via the Via Braccianese or the Grande Raccordo Anulare via Cassia bis. By train, the Anguillara station is served by the regional FL3 Rome-Viterbo line, just a few minutes from the center and the lakeside.
Events at Natale InCanto are free to attend. Concerts in churches and children's activities may have limited seating: it is advisable to arrive early.
The festival generally takes place from early December until January 6th. For the updated program, it is recommended to check the channels of the Municipality of Anguillara Sabazia and the Pro Loco.
