The Tisner Mårkt is the annual market (known in German as Jahresmarkt or Krämermarkt) of the municipality of Tesimo/Tisens, a small village in the Merano area of the Bolzano province, in the Trentino-Alto Adige/Südtirol region. It is a traditional fair that draws locals and visitors to the town center every year, specifically to the Town Hall Square (Rathausplatz), for a morning of shopping, socializing, and community life.

A traditional South Tyrolean event

The Tisner Mårkt is part of the long-standing tradition of annual markets in South Tyrolean villages, events that have marked the mountain community calendar for generations. For one morning, the center of Tesimo transforms into a lively open-air market: the stalls lined up in the square offer clothing, footwear, sweets, and a diverse array of goods, in the style of a classic South Tyrolean Krämermarkt. The atmosphere is that of a convivial village fair, where shopping is paired with the pleasure of meeting up with neighbors.

The market is traditionally held on May 8th (or the nearest day), in the morning, with typical hours from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM. In recent years, it has been held regularly on this date: May 8, 2021, May 8, 2023, and May 8, 2025. The Tisner Mårkt should not be confused with the Tisner Bauern- & Handwerksmarkt, the farmers' and craft market held every Wednesday from May to October in the same square.

How to reach Tesimo

Tesimo/Tisens is located on a sunny panoramic terrace above the Adige Valley, a short distance from Lana and Merano. The market enlivens the heart of the village, which is easily accessible by car from the Lana and Merano area. The event is organized by Confesercenti Alto Adige - Südtirol in collaboration with the Municipality of Tesimo/Tisens.
