Three meetings dedicated to the sky and the wonders of the universe in Bernezzo
In Bernezzo, a small town in the Province of Cuneo in Piedmont, the "Three Evenings Under the Stars" festival invites the public to discover the wonders and mysteries of the universe. It consists of a series of three evening meetings, spread throughout the month of March, designed to introduce adults and young people to astronomy with accessible language and a strong spirit of sharing.
The initiative stems from the collaboration between the Department of Culture of the Municipality of Bernezzo, the Sideralis association, the municipal library, and the San Rocco Day Center. The project partners have a dual goal: to offer an opportunity for scientific outreach and in-depth study, while simultaneously promoting social interaction and a sense of community, reminding us that we all live under the same sky.
The festival unfolds in three stages, each in a different location in the town:
The events generally start at 8:45 PM, the ideal time for astronomical evenings and sky observation.
Bernezzo is located in an area with a consolidated vocation for sky observation: the area of the Cuneo Occitan valleys, far from major sources of light pollution, is particularly favorable for amateur astronomy. The Sideralis association is active in scientific and environmental outreach and organizes meetings, lectures, guided tours, and workshops for all ages, with special attention to natural sciences, astronomy, and the culture of the Alpine territory.
More than just a series of lectures, "Three Evenings Under the Stars" is an invitation to look up together. The festival aims to create community and rediscover the value of sharing and collective curiosity, offering residents and visitors of the Municipality of Bernezzo a free opportunity open to all to approach the universe with wonder and awareness.
The 2026 festival was divided into three evenings spread throughout the month of March, each hosted in a different location in the Municipality of Bernezzo, in the Province of Cuneo.
The evenings, with free access, combined scientific outreach, astronomical observation, and moments of discussion, in the spirit of community that drives the project promoted by the Municipality of Bernezzo and the Sideralis association.
The three evenings take place in different locations in the Municipality of Bernezzo (Province of Cuneo, Piedmont): the Centro Diurno il Ramo at Via Mandrile 33, the Villa Villanis Park, and the Municipal Multipurpose Hall.
The meetings are held in the month of March, usually starting at 8:45 PM.
Bernezzo can be reached by car from Cuneo in about 15 minutes along the road to Valle Grana. The reference railway station is Cuneo, from where you can continue by suburban bus or car.
The initiative is promoted by the Municipality and local partners for outreach and community purposes; the meetings are free to access. For updated details on dates, locations, and how to participate, we recommend contacting the Department of Culture of the Municipality of Bernezzo or the Sideralis association.
