For several Saturdays between September and October, the picturesque medieval historic center, with its protruding oriel windows, colorful facades, and welcoming arcades, is literally covered by a red carpet and transforms into what is considered one of the most evocative shopping streets in Europe.

A red carpet along the Città Nuova

The initiative was born from the collaboration of local merchants and restaurateurs, who open their doors and decorate the streets with elegance. Strolling along the Città Nuova (Neustadt) during these days means moving like a star among the shop windows: designer Italian fashion, quality footwear, and refined jewelry, alongside traditional Tyrolean crafts and local products. Each Saturday dedicated to the red carpet has its own theme and atmosphere, ensuring that every visit offers something unique.

Music, gastronomy, and atmosphere

Shopping is not the only star of the show. Accompanying visitors along the streets of the center are live music and entertainment, while restaurants and cafes offer gastronomic specialties of the region: an opportunity to combine shopping with the discovery of South Tyrolean flavors, including desserts, mountain dairy products, and traditional dishes. The event runs from 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM, with free admission for everyone.
