An Open-Air Restaurant in the Village

For two summer evenings, the historic center of Pianello Val Tidone, a municipality in the province of Piacenza in Emilia-Romagna, dresses up and becomes a large open-air restaurant. The New Taste Route is the gastronomic event that invites residents and visitors to stroll through the village streets, tasting dishes, local products, and wines from the Val Tidone, on a culinary journey set up directly by local businesses.

The Formula: Ten Stations, One Dish for 6 Euros

The heart of the event is simple and successful: the village comes alive with ten stations from bars and restaurants, each offering its own dish for only 6 euros. Starting from 8:00 PM, you can walk from station to station, composing your own dinner with regional specialties, traditional flavors, and pairings with local wines. It's an informal and convivial formula, designed to discover the quality of Piacenza's food and wine at a relaxed pace, in good company.

Good Food, Music, and Atmosphere

The New Taste Route is not just about food: accompanying the tastings is live music, while the streets and squares of the historic center provide an elegant backdrop for the evening. It's an opportunity to experience Pianello at its best, when, as the organizers recall, the village expresses its elegance, its excellent products, and the hospitality of its businesses.

Part of Welcome Val Tidone

The initiative is part of the Welcome Val Tidone calendar, the "showcase of taste" that brings together five municipalities in the Piacenza Val Tidone — Castel San Giovanni (lead municipality), Alta Val Tidone, Borgonovo Val Tidone, Pianello Val Tidone, and Ziano Piacentino — in over twenty events dedicated to food and wine and commerce. In Pianello, the event is organized by the Municipal Administration together with the Pro Loco Pianello Val Tidone and the Association of Traders "Valorizziamo Pianello," with the support of local trade associations.
