The Buccellato and Artisanal Panettone Festival brings the historic center of Caccamo to life—a charming medieval village in the Metropolitan City of Palermo, Sicily. The event is a tribute to the island's confectionery and the sweets that perfume the holidays, revived after more than fifteen years to celebrate the most authentic flavors of a Sicilian Christmas.

Buccellato, the star of the festival

At the heart of the event is buccellato, the traditional Christmas pastry of Caccamo and all of Sicily: a shortcrust pastry filled with a generous mixture of almonds, dried figs, and raisins, sometimes enriched with chocolate and finished with icing or powdered sugar. Alongside it, artisanal panettone is prepared by local master pastry chefs. Throughout the village streets, visitors can enjoy wandering tastings of excellent local products, set up in both the squares and production workshops.

Art, craftsmanship, and tradition
