The Legend of the Lost Horses is one of the most beloved automotive gatherings in the province of Reggio Emilia, born from the idea of a group of friends united by their passion for engines. It's not just a meeting of sports cars, but an entire day of fun, tradition, and sharing, which each year attracts enthusiasts from all over Emilia-Romagna and beyond. The starting point is Barco, a hamlet in the Municipality of Bibbiano, at the historic Modauto dealership.

The stars: 150 dream cars

The gathering hosts about 150 cars each year, a fleet ranging from youngtimers to the most iconic models of the '90s and 2000s, up to modern supercars. Among the cars that have featured in past editions, legendary vehicles such as the Lancia Delta Integrale, Ford Escort Cosworth, Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution, Porsche 997 Turbo, and Ferrari SF90 have been seen, in a display that delights onlookers and photographers.

The route through the hills

After the meet-up and welcome buffet, the cars set off in a convoy for a scenic drive winding through the Reggiano and Parma hills, with their characteristic landscapes and villages. The route includes an intermediate stop in Bazzano and concludes at the Casa dei Bardi in Cavriago, where a traditional lunch is served. In the early afternoon, an optional driving skill test is also available for those who wish.

Tradition and territory

The event is now a fixed fixture on the calendar for engine enthusiasts in the Val d'Enza. The Modauto dealership, founded in Barco di Bibbiano in 1963, is the beating heart and meeting point of the event, which combines a passion for four wheels with the discovery of the hilly territory between the provinces of Reggio Emilia and Parma. A day that celebrates friendship, mechanics, and the beauty of the Emilian Apennines.
