The Terrasini Sun Festival is one of the most anticipated events of the musical summer in Terrasini, a coastal town in the province of Palermo overlooking the Gulf of Castellammare. The festival takes place in the scenic setting of Torre Alba, on the historic Calarossa seafront (named after Peppino Impastato), where music meets the sound of the waves and the colors of the sunset over the Tyrrhenian Sea.
From jazz to singer-songwriter music
Born as a festival dedicated to jazz, the Sun Festival has broadened its horizons over the years to include singer-songwriter music and other genres, while maintaining a carefully curated artistic vision focused on quality. The direction is entrusted to Dario Sulis and Valerio Buscetta, who each year build a lineup that balances established names from the Sicilian scene with emerging projects, with a special focus on new proposals and contemporary languages.
Free sunset concerts
One of the festival's hallmarks is free admission: the concerts, generally scheduled for late evening, are open to everyone and take place outdoors, facing the sea. The 2024 edition was entirely dedicated to the theme "La donna Canzone" (The Song Woman), featuring female-led musical projects and artists such as Laura Lala, Sade Mangiaracina, Marianna Costantino, and the group Kairos, confirming the festival's commitment to giving space to original voices and paths.

Organized by the Kangaroo Association together with the Pro Loco Terrasini, the Sun Festival is part of the rich calendar of summer events in the Municipality of Terrasini, which includes open-air cinema, excursions, and cultural reviews. For the public, it is also an opportunity to discover one of the most characteristic seaside villages in western Sicily, known for its Sicilian cart museum, beaches, and proximity to the Capo Rama nature reserve.

Sun Festival — edition 2026
The Terrasini Sun Festival 2026 is scheduled for August 24, 25, and 26, 2026 at Torre Alba, on the seafront of Terrasini (province of Palermo, Sicily). At the moment, the dates have been released, while the complete program with artists and times has not yet been announced by the organizers. True to its formula, the festival will offer evening outdoor concerts with free admission, ranging from jazz to singer-songwriter music. How to get there
Terrasini is located about 30 km from Palermo, along the A29 motorway (Terrasini exit), just a few minutes from Palermo-Punta Raisi Airport. Torre Alba is easily reached from the town center along the Calarossa/Peppino Impastato seafront.
