Three days dedicated to the six Rs in the village of Montefeltro
The Sustainability Festival, also known by the name "R alla sesta", is one of the most characteristic events in the calendar of Belforte all'Isauro, a small municipality in the province of Pesaro and Urbino, in the Marche region, nestled along the Auro stream on the border with Tuscany and Umbria. Promoted by the volunteer association La Ginestra OdV with the support of the Municipality and the Pro Loco, the festival transforms the Montefeltro village into a large open-air laboratory dedicated to environmental culture and conscious living.
The name "R alla sesta" refers to the six principles that inspire the entire event: Recycle, Reuse, Repair, Reduce, Clean Up, and Respect. Every initiative, from workshops for children to nature walks, is designed to show how sustainability can be a concrete, creative, and enjoyable experience, far from any preachy tone.
In its past editions, the festival has offered a full schedule of activities that animate the streets, squares, and spaces around the Town Hall:
More than just an event, the Sustainability Festival of Belforte all'Isauro is an expression of a community that has made volunteering, creative recycling, and respect for the territory its true identity. The event, which has grown year by year, also gained momentum during the year of Pesaro Italian Capital of Culture, when the village was the focus of a project that highlighted the small towns in the province.
Visiting Belforte all'Isauro during the festival means discovering an authentic corner of the inner Marche region, amidst nature, tradition, and a sincere commitment to the planet's future.
From May 22 to 24, 2026, Belforte all'Isauro hosted a new edition of the Sustainability Festival - R to the sixth power, with the Town Hall at Via Rossini 1 as the reference point. Three days of workshops, excursions, wellness moments, music, and zero-km gastronomy animated the Montefeltro village under the banner of the six principles that give the event its name.
The organization was handled by the volunteer association La Ginestra OdV together with the Municipality of Belforte all'Isauro and the Pro Loco, with free admission to all activities.
The detailed program for the 2026 edition was released by the organizers through attachments published by the Municipality of Belforte all'Isauro. The event was spread over three days (May 22-24) with workshops dedicated to reuse and creative recycling, excursions in the Montefeltro nature, wellness activities, music, shows, and zero-km gastronomic offerings.
Belforte all'Isauro can be reached by car from the Fano-Grosseto highway (E78), exit Lunano/Mercatale, continuing towards the Upper Foglia Valley. The nearest train station is Fano, from which you can continue by bus or car towards the hinterland.
Activities take place in the town center, with the Town Hall at Via Rossini 1 as the reference point. The event typically runs from Friday morning to Sunday afternoon.
Admission to all events is free. Some workshops and excursions may require booking.
