About SuperPark Stenico

In Stenico, within the Giudicarie Esteriori region, the SuperPark summer festival of the Adamello Brenta Nature Park blends mountain trekking with the big screen. This is the starting point for the first of the author-led hikes guided by park rangers alongside special guests, while "zero-impact" cinema arrives at the Teatro Selva in BoscoArteStenico with solar-powered outdoor screenings. An event that weaves together nature, culture, and sustainability in western Trentino.

SuperPark in Stenico

SuperPark is the summer initiative by the Adamello Brenta Nature Park Authority, created in collaboration with Superflùo, bringing author-led hikes and outdoor cinema to the forests, castles, and valleys of western Trentino. The municipality of Stenico, in the Giudicarie Esteriori, is one of the festival's iconic locations: it is the starting point for the first guided hike and hosts one of the "zero-impact" cinema evenings at the Teatro Selva in BoscoArteStenico.

Author-Led Hikes

The author-led hikes are guided walks led by park rangers in the company of special guests—photographers, directors, screenwriters, journalists, artists, and researchers—who accompany participants to discover lesser-known corners of the protected area. These outings, typically held on Sundays, require appropriate mountain gear (hiking boots, waterproof jacket, backpack with a water bottle) and have a modest cost, with free admission for children and ParcoKey holders.

"Zero-Impact" Cinema

The most distinctive feature of SuperPark is the zero-impact cinema curated by the Cinèma du desert association: a van equipped with solar panels travels to various locations within the Park, transforming meadows, clearings, castles, and forest theaters into open-air cinemas. Screenings, powered by solar energy, are enjoyed while sitting on the grass; in case of bad weather, they are moved indoors to adjacent spaces. In Stenico, the screening takes place at the Teatro Selva, nestled within the contemporary art trail of BoscoArteStenico.

A Festival Spread Across the Adamello Brenta Park

SuperPark is not limited to Stenico: throughout the summer, it offers eleven starlit films and seven author-led hikes in as many locations across the Park, from the Giudicarie to the Val di Non and Val Rendena. The goal is to combine culture, slow tourism, and environmental protection, bringing the public closer to the mountains through cinema and hiking, in the municipality of Stenico and the province of Trento, in Trentino-Alto Adige.

SuperPark Stenico — edition 2026

In Stenico, the 2026 edition of SuperPark kicked off on Sunday, June 28, with the first author-led hike, accompanied by screenwriter Adriano Candiago, co-author of the film "Le città di pianura", winner at the 2026 David di Donatello awards. On Wednesday, July 1, the "zero-impact" cinema stopped at the Teatro Selva in BoscoArteStenico with the documentary "Super Nature".

SuperPark 2026 in Stenico

The 2026 summer season of SuperPark, the Adamello Brenta Nature Park festival, started in Stenico. The first author-led hike, scheduled for Sunday, June 28, 2026, was guided by park rangers alongside screenwriter Adriano Candiago, co-author and co-screenwriter of "Le città di pianura", a film that triumphed at the 2026 David di Donatello awards. The original itinerary, from Stenico towards the Arca di Fraporte, was moved to Val Algone following reports of a mother bear with two cubs in the area, in accordance with the principle of coexistence.

The film "Super Nature" at Teatro Selva

Wednesday, July 1, 2026, the "zero-impact" cinema curated by Cinèma du desert arrived at the Teatro Selva in BoscoArteStenico with the screening of "Super Nature", a documentary from the United Kingdom (2026, 82 minutes) directed by Ed Sayers, in the original language with subtitles. The evening, with free admission, was part of the calendar of eleven screenings distributed between June 24 and July 6 throughout the Park.

The two Stenico stops were part of an overall festival of seven author-led hikes and eleven starlit films, with guests such as photographers Simone Cargnoni and Alessandro Cristofoletti, journalist Valeria Barbi, and researcher Giorgio Vacchiano.
