Judicaria Eco Festival

A festival celebrating the mountains that unite us

The Judicaria Eco Festival is a late-September highlight that brings the center of Tione di Trento—the main town of the Giudicarie region in the heart of Trentino-Alto Adige—to life. Born as an evolution of the historic Mountain Eco-Fair, which defined the local autumn season for nearly twenty years, the festival has refreshed its format while keeping its original spirit intact: promoting the products, crafts, and values of mountain life. Organized by Natourism srl in partnership with the Municipality of Tione di Trento, the local Pro Loco, and the Merchants' Association, with the support of the Madonna di Campiglio Tourism Board, the event is free to attend.

Three areas, one community

The festival divides the historic center into three thematic areas that guide visitors throughout the day:

• Flavor Avenue (Viale dei Sapori): The commercial heart of the event, featuring over thirty exhibitors including producers, farms, artisans, and non-profits offering tastings and sales of cheeses, cured meats, bread, pastries, jams, honey, wild herbs, and mountain beers and wines.
• Taste Square (Piazza del Gusto): A convivial space dedicated to aperitifs, lunches, and live music, where people gather to eat and socialize.
• Play Square (Piazza dei Giochi): A colorful village designed for children, featuring outdoor games, workshops, animals, treasure hunts, and activities for the whole family.

Flavors, knowledge, and social commitment

Beyond the local produce market, the Judicaria Eco Festival offers a packed calendar of meetings, workshops, and excursions that blend taste, culture, and social issues. Recent editions have focused on inclusion and sustainability, featuring workshops on disability, responsible consumption initiatives, environmental film screenings from the Trento Film Festival, mycological exhibitions, displays of ancient seeds, and activities led by the Adamello Brenta Nature Park. The traditional lottery is also a staple, with thousands of tickets and prizes donated by local shops.

The Judicaria Eco Festival is much more than a simple fair: it is a celebration of an alpine community telling its story through its products and values. Strategically located between the Brenta Dolomites and the Adamello massif, Tione di Trento becomes a meeting point for a weekend where producers, tradition-keepers, and those eager to discover the authentic spirit of the Trentino mountains come together.
