The summer feast of Nero di Pecorara in the streets of the Alta Val Tidone village
The Summer Truffle Party is the summer version of the Pecorara Black Truffle Exhibition, the event that has celebrated the famous truffle of Alta Val Tidone for over thirty years. Conceived as a "young" and convivial preview of the main autumn event, this festival brings the Nero di Pecorara to the village streets in the heart of summer, when the Piacenza Apennines are filled with holidaymakers and hikers.
The event takes place in Pecorara, a charming hamlet in the Municipality of Alta Val Tidone, in the province of Piacenza (Emilia-Romagna). The village, nestled among the woods of the Tidone valley, has been the capital of truffle gathering for generations: as early as the 1960s, truffle hunting was a commercial activity here, and today the product is protected by the Municipal Designation (DE.CO).
Born to "double" the offering of the main exhibition, the summer festival has immediately enjoyed great public success. Along the village streets, you'll find stands of producers, truffle hunters, and local products from the valley. The atmosphere is informal and cheerful, like a real village festival: you can stroll among the exhibitors, taste the products, chat with the truffle hunters, and learn how to recognize and use the prized hypogeous fungus.
The heart of the day is the food and wine tastings: dishes based on black truffle, wines from local cellars, aperitifs, and finger food. There are also entertainment moments like a lottery and live music or an evening DJ set, which transform the exhibition into a true celebration. The event is organized by the Pro Loco of Pecorara in collaboration with the Municipality of Alta Val Tidone, the same team that manages the major autumn Exhibition, which has been awarded the national "Sagra di Qualitร " (Quality Festival) mark.
The Summer Truffle Party 2026 returns for its second edition on Saturday, July 4, 2026, in Pecorara, a hamlet of the Municipality of Alta Val Tidone (PC). The event, organized by the Pro Loco of Pecorara, re-proposes in summer the proven formula of the great autumn Exhibition: truffle hunters' stands along the village streets, stalls of typical products from Val Tidone, food and wine tastings based on black truffle, wines from local cellars, and festive moments with a lottery and music.
The date is currently confirmed; the detailed program with times, menus, and any guests will be announced by the organizers in the weeks preceding the event.
The detailed program for the 2026 edition will be published by the Pro Loco of Pecorara in the weeks preceding the event.
Based on previous editions, the day typically includes:

Public transport is limited: a car is the most convenient option.
The 2026 edition is scheduled for Saturday, July 4, 2026. The event takes place throughout the day, with the highlight in the afternoon and evening.
