The Street Food Festival with Naturalmiele is one of the most beloved events of the summer season in Castel San Pietro Terme, a spa town in the Metropolitan City of Bologna, in Emilia-Romagna. For an entire weekend, the historic center transforms into a large open-air food and entertainment route: food trucks and stands are set up in the main squares and streets, from Piazza XX Settembre to Via Matteotti, from Via Cavour to Piazza Acquaderni, offering the gastronomic traditions of all of Italy, from regional street food to local Emilian specialties.
Food, honey, and local products
The event brings together two distinct elements. On one hand, street food, offering a journey through the flavors of the peninsula designed for snacks or dinner; on the other, the Naturalmiele exhibition, curated by the National Honey Observatory, which is based in Castel San Pietro Terme. The space dedicated to honey features tastings, mini-courses, talks on the value of the land and its products, and musical moments, often under the banner of 'Giallo Miele' (Yellow Honey). Alongside this is the farmers' market, showcasing local producers and the new rural movement.
Street art, music, and entertainment
Street food is only part of the festival. The Street Food Festival traditionally marks the start of the 'Estate Castellana' (Castel San Pietro Summer), the program of events promoted by the Municipality of Castel San Pietro Terme and the Pro Loco from June until the end of summer, including concerts, theater, shows at the Arena, and gastronomic events. For visitors to the area, it's the perfect opportunity to discover one of the most famous spa towns in the Bolognese Apennines, combining good food, tradition, and a village atmosphere.
Street Food Festival — edition 2026
The 2026 edition of the Street Food Festival with Naturalmiele takes place in Castel San Pietro Terme from Thursday, June 18 to Saturday, June 20, with a preview on June 18 animated by the shopkeepers of Via Cavour. The event is part of the 'Estate Castellana 2026' program, promoted by the Municipality along with the Pro Loco, Tourist Office, sports and volunteer associations, cultural organizations, and local businesses.
In the squares and streets of the historic center, food trucks and gastronomic stands return with offerings from all over Italy, alongside the Naturalmiele exhibition by the National Honey Observatory with tastings and talks, the farmers' market, and the Street Festival. The evenings are accompanied by music, shows, and street art throughout the center.

The detailed program for the 2026 edition, including times, exhibitors, and shows, will be published by the Municipality and the Pro Loco in the weeks preceding the event. The announced structure includes:
- Preview on June 18 — opening event hosted by Via Cavour shopkeepers.
- June 19 and 20 — Street Food in the historic center, with food trucks and gastronomic stands in the main squares and streets.
- Naturalmiele — space by the National Honey Observatory with honey tastings, talks, and musical moments (traditionally in Piazza Acquaderni).

Recent editions have been held across Piazza XX Settembre, Via Matteotti, Via Cavour, Piazza Acquaderni, and surrounding squares, with evening hours on the first day and from late morning on subsequent days.
