The Strawberry and Agnolotto Predosino De.Co. Festival is one of the most beloved events in the summer calendar of the Municipality of Predosa, in the Province of Alessandria, Lower Piedmont. It is the first major celebration of the season in the area, where the strawberry becomes the recurring star ingredient—from appetizers to desserts—and where the local agnolotto takes the top spot in the local gastronomic tradition.
Where and how it takes place
The festival is held under the Pro Loco marquee at Via Viazzi 45 in Predosa, where food stands open every evening at 7:30 PM. The formula is that of a classic, authentic village feast: enjoy dinner with local specialties, followed by dancing. Admission is free, and the atmosphere remains as convivial and family-friendly as it has been for nearly forty years, drawing visitors from across the Novese and Acquesi regions.
Agnolotto predosino, a zero-kilometer product
The festival's signature dish is the agnolotto predosino, a recognized De.Co. (Municipal Designation) product and the pride of Predosa's cuisine. It is a truly zero-kilometer pasta: the meat comes from local farms, the vegetables and flour are sourced from regional crops, and even the wine used in the sauce comes from the local cooperative winery. It is handcrafted by the chefs and volunteers of the Pro Loco, who organize the event every year.
Strawberry specialties
Alongside the agnolotto, the undisputed queen is the strawberry, featured in countless ways. The most anticipated dish is the famous strawberry risotto, but strawberries also accompany cakes, desserts, and fresh treats, paired with DOC wines from the Cantina Sociale di Mantovana. A menu that reflects the food and wine identity of the Monferrato and Alessandria regions.
A Lower Piedmont tradition
With its many editions, the Strawberry Festival is now deeply rooted in the identity of Predosa and a classic way to open the Piedmontese festival season. Organized by the Pro Loco of Predosa, it combines good food, music, and dancing in a festive atmosphere that brings the entire community together.

La 39ª edizione
La trentanovesima Sagra delle Fragole di Predosa si è articolata su otto serate distribuite su due fine settimana: dal 29 maggio al 2 giugno e poi dal 5 al 7 giugno 2026, con una pausa nelle giornate del 3 e 4 giugno. La manifestazione si è confermata come la prima grande festa enogastronomica dell'estate nel territorio predosino.
Ogni sera gli stand gastronomici hanno aperto alle 19:30, proponendo il celebre risotto alle fragole, gli immancabili agnolotti predosini De.Co. e altri piatti tipici, accompagnati dai vini DOC della Cantina Sociale di Mantovana. Come da tradizione, dopo cena ogni serata ha proposto musica e ballo.

L'edizione 2026 si è svolta su otto serate, suddivise in due fine settimana:
- Primo periodo: da venerdì 29 maggio a martedì 2 giugno 2026
- Pausa: mercoledì 3 e giovedì 4 giugno
- Secondo periodo: da venerdì 5 a domenica 7 giugno 2026
Ogni sera
- 19:30 — Apertura degli stand gastronomici sotto il Palatenda della Pro Loco
- Dopo cena — Musica e ballo
