About StraCiriè

StraCiriè is the historic road race of Ciriè, in the Metropolitan City of Turin. For over thirty years, this event has brought the streets of the Piedmontese town to life with a 10-kilometre road race, FIDAL-certified and part of the CorriPiemonte circuit. Organized by the Equilibra Running Team, the event combines a competitive race with a fun run open to everyone, turning a Sunday in June into a great celebration of sport and community that attracts over a thousand participants, including athletes, families, and running enthusiasts.

A running tradition spanning over thirty years

StraCiriè is one of the most beloved road races in the Canavese area and the Turin region. Established in the early nineties, the event has seen over thirty editions, becoming a staple for running enthusiasts in the Municipality of Ciriè, in Piedmont, within the Metropolitan City of Turin. Every year, on a Sunday in June, the town's streets are transformed into a grand race course, buzzing with runners, sports clubs, and cheering crowds.

The course and the two sides of the race

The route covers 10 kilometres through the city, on a flat and fast FIDAL-certified course, with the start and finish line located on Corso Martiri della Libertà. StraCiriè offers two complementary experiences:

  • Competitive race: A timed event reserved for FIDAL members with a medical certificate, serving as a stage of the regional CorriPiemonte circuit;
  • Fun run: A non-competitive walk open to everyone, including amateur runners, families, and walkers who want to enjoy the festivities without the pressure of a stopwatch.

In recent years, the course has been revised to exactly 10 kilometres, adding even more prestige to the athletes' finishing times.

A benchmark regional circuit

StraCiriè is a permanent fixture in the CorriPiemonte calendar, representing one of its flagship events. This ensures high participation and a strong technical level, with many Piedmontese clubs competing for team rankings and the highest number of registered runners.

Atmosphere and spirit of the event

Beyond the competitive aspect, the race is above all a community celebration. Participation grows year after year, exceeding one thousand entries, a sign of the deep bond between the race and the local area. The Equilibra Running Team manages every detail: chip-timed bibs, race packs, refreshment stations along the route, medical assistance, and awards for overall winners, age categories, and the largest teams.

Why participate

StraCiriè combines sport, social interaction, and the promotion of Ciriè's historic centre. It is the ideal opportunity to discover a traditional Piedmontese town, whether running or walking through its streets during a day of sport accessible to all ages and levels.
