The historic 10 km road race in Ciriè
StraCiriè is one of the most beloved road races in the Canavese area and the Turin region. Established in the early nineties, the event has seen over thirty editions, becoming a staple for running enthusiasts in the Municipality of Ciriè, in Piedmont, within the Metropolitan City of Turin. Every year, on a Sunday in June, the town's streets are transformed into a grand race course, buzzing with runners, sports clubs, and cheering crowds.
The route covers 10 kilometres through the city, on a flat and fast FIDAL-certified course, with the start and finish line located on Corso Martiri della Libertà. StraCiriè offers two complementary experiences:
In recent years, the course has been revised to exactly 10 kilometres, adding even more prestige to the athletes' finishing times.
StraCiriè is a permanent fixture in the CorriPiemonte calendar, representing one of its flagship events. This ensures high participation and a strong technical level, with many Piedmontese clubs competing for team rankings and the highest number of registered runners.
Beyond the competitive aspect, the race is above all a community celebration. Participation grows year after year, exceeding one thousand entries, a sign of the deep bond between the race and the local area. The Equilibra Running Team manages every detail: chip-timed bibs, race packs, refreshment stations along the route, medical assistance, and awards for overall winners, age categories, and the largest teams.
StraCiriè combines sport, social interaction, and the promotion of Ciriè's historic centre. It is the ideal opportunity to discover a traditional Piedmontese town, whether running or walking through its streets during a day of sport accessible to all ages and levels.
The 33rd edition of the StraCiriè, held on Sunday, June 7, 2026, with a 9:00 AM start from Corso Martiri della Libertà, confirmed the success of the event organized by the Equilibra Running Team. As the sixth stage of the CorriPiemonte circuit, it recorded a new milestone with over 1,000 participants and 893 classified athletes on the new 10 km certified route.
In the men's race, Mustapha Boussifi (Gli Amici di Marcello) triumphed in 31'37", ahead of Lorenzo Manganaro (Torino Road Runners, 32'49") and Andrea Masoero (Borgaretto 75, 33'03"). Among the women, the victory went to Sara Borello (Atletica Canavesana) in 37'18", followed by Mina El Kanoussi and Elisa Viora.
9:00 AM: Mass start from Corso Martiri della Libertà for the competitive race (10 km FIDAL-certified) and the non-competitive fun run. Followed by refreshment stations along the route and awards ceremonies for overall podiums, categories, and the largest teams.
Ciriè is located about 25 km north of Turin. By car, it can be reached via the SP1 (Direttissima) Turin-Lanzo road; by train, take the SFM1 Turin-Ceres line and get off at the Ciriè stop. The start and finish are on Corso Martiri della Libertà, in the town centre.
Registration for the competitive race is available online via iRunning; registration for the non-competitive walk is also possible on the morning of the event. Indicative fees: €12 for adults by the end of May (€15 thereafter), €4 for youths and students. Chip, race pack, and refreshments are included.
Arrive early to collect your race bib and be aware of the traffic restrictions planned in the city on the day of the race.
