The Turin City Marathon

The FIAT Turin City Marathon is the great running festival of the Piedmontese capital, an international marathon that draws thousands of athletes from across Italy and abroad to the heart of Turin every autumn. Organized within the Municipality of Turin, in Piedmont, the event has grown rapidly to become one of the most popular marathons in the country, successfully combining competitive racing with the pleasure of discovering the city on foot.

The Route and Distances

The flagship event is the 42.195 km marathon, FIDAL-certified and considered one of the fastest courses in Italy thanks to its long straights and lack of significant elevation changes. The start is set on Via Pietro Micca, just a short walk from the Royal Palace, while the finish line is located in the monumental setting of Piazza Castello. The route winds through Turin's historical and cultural heritage, from the Savoy residences to the Lingotto, also passing through the metropolitan areas of Moncalieri, Beinasco, Nichelino, and the Mirafiori district, a symbol of the city's industrial history.

Two other races take place on the same day:

• City Half Marathon: the competitive 21.097 km half marathon;
• City Run: a non-competitive 5 km run, open to everyone, ideal for families and enthusiasts.

An Event for the City

The event is much more than just a race: it represents a major tourism and sports promotion initiative for Turin and the Piedmont region, with a significant economic impact on the metropolitan area and a strong presence of international athletes. The partnership with FIAT, a brand born right here in Turin, highlights the deep bond between running, the city, and its industrial identity: the official pace car is the new hybrid Fiat 500, designed at the Turin Style Center and produced in Mirafiori.
