A sports festival in the heart of the Stura Valley

Stra Val Esturo has become one of the most anticipated summer events in Demonte, a municipality in the Stura Valley in the province of Cuneo, in southern Piedmont. Born in 2003 as a modest end-of-summer volleyball tournament, it has evolved over the years into a non-stop event that attracts hundreds of athletes and enthusiasts from across Piedmont and neighboring Liguria, becoming a true benchmark for amateur valley sports.

Many disciplines for everyone

The heart of Stra Val Esturo is the sporting challenge, experienced with a spirit of fair play and a great desire to be together. The program includes several disciplines:

• 6-a-side volleyball, played in the Municipal Sports Hall, with mixed teams of men and women;
• 5-a-side football, on the town's new synthetic grass pitch;
• Pairs petanque, near the local bocce club;
• Sitting volleyball, the Paralympic discipline introduced as a new feature to provide even more space for inclusion.

Tournament registration takes place on the InCampo online platform, and spots, as every year, sell out quickly.

Not just sports: music, food, and camping

Stra Val Esturo is not just about competition. A 24-hour food court is active throughout the weekend, while those arriving from afar can stay in the camping area set up for tents and campers. The most anticipated moment of the nightlife is the Mega DJ Party on Saturday night, under the valley stars, which transforms the sports festival into a great evening of music and entertainment.
