About STRÀ Festival

Every summer, the small village of Santa Lucia di Collecorvino, in the province of Pescara, transforms into an open-air stage. The STRÀ Street Artists Festival brings contemporary circus, juggling, street theatre, fire shows, and live music to the alleys and squares, with Italian and international companies animating the village from late afternoon until late at night. A free event suitable for the whole family, promoted by the Pro Loco Corbino in the heart of Abruzzo.

An Abruzzese village turned into a theatre

The STRÀ Street Artists Festival is the premier street art event in the municipality of Collecorvino, in the province of Pescara, nestled in the rolling hills of Abruzzo just a few kilometres from the Adriatic coast. The festival takes place in the hamlet of Santa Lucia, a small village that, for two summer days, is taken over by acrobats, jugglers, mimes, clowns, and musicians. Alleys, open spaces, and small squares become scattered stages where the audience moves from one show to the next, following the rhythm of the roving performances.

Contemporary circus and street arts

The artistic heart of the festival is contemporary circus in all its forms: nouveau cirque, juggling, puppetry, fire shows, and aerial disciplines intertwine with comedy theatre and live music. Each edition brings companies from all over Italy and abroad to Santa Lucia, with some performances presented as national premieres. Alongside the main shows, there are workshops, interactive games for children, and participatory moments that involve the entire community.

More than just shows

The STRÀ Festival is not just a performance showcase: it is a village festival that blends art, tradition, and conviviality. During the evenings, the village hosts local crafts, food and wine stands featuring typical Abruzzese products, and workshops linked to popular traditions, such as clay modelling for children or demonstrations of rural cooking. The combination of live entertainment and local culture makes the event a defining appointment for the entire Collecorvino community.

Organisation and growth

The event is organised by the Pro Loco Corbino APS with the patronage of the Municipality of Collecorvino and the collaboration of industry professionals dedicated to artistic direction. Born as a small local festival, the STRÀ Festival has grown over the years to become one of the most anticipated street art events in the province of Pescara, capable of attracting visitors from all over Abruzzo thanks to the quality of its programming and free admission.

A free event for everyone

Access to the shows is free, based on the voluntary contribution system for artists (the so-called "hat"). This choice makes the STRÀ Festival an event truly open to everyone, designed for families, circus enthusiasts, and curious visitors who want to experience two evenings of magic in the streets of an Abruzzese village.

STRÀ Festival — edition 2026

The 2026 edition of the STRÀ Street Artists Festival is scheduled for 22 and 23 August in Santa Lucia di Collecorvino (PE). As per tradition, the village will once again be filled with contemporary circus, juggling, street theatre, and live music, with free admission and voluntary contributions. The detailed programme with artists and times will be announced by the Pro Loco Corbino in the weeks leading up to the event.

The STRÀ Street Artists Festival returns to Santa Lucia di Collecorvino on 22 and 23 August 2026. Two evenings dedicated to contemporary circus, juggling, street theatre, and live music, featuring roving performances, crafts, and typical Abruzzese gastronomy. The full line-up of artists and schedules will be published by the organisers on the festival's official channels. Admission remains free with voluntary contributions for the artists.
