About SS. Pietro e Paolo Festival

Every late June, the hamlet of Ceniga in the municipality of Dro celebrates its patron saints, Peter and Paul, with a three-day village festival hosted at the Oratorio di Ceniga. Organized by the SS. Pietro e Paolo Festival Committee, the event combines traditional Trentino cuisine, live music, and convivial moments in a small village in Garda Trentino. A genuine, free-entry event that brings the entire community together around its roots and parish church.

A patronal feast in the heart of Garda Trentino

The SS. Pietro e Paolo Festival in Ceniga is the traditional feast dedicated to the patron saints of the small hamlet of Ceniga, part of the municipality of Dro in the province of Trento, Trentino-Alto Adige. Every year, in late June, the village gathers around its parish church to honor Saints Peter and Paul with three days of festivities that weave together popular faith, good food, and joy.

The venue: Oratorio di Ceniga

The heart of the event is the Oratorio di Ceniga in Piazza San Paolo, which becomes a meeting point for residents and visitors alike. The space comes alive with outdoor dining tables, food stalls, and music, creating an intimate and authentic atmosphere typical of the villages in Garda Trentino, just a stone's throw from the Sarca River and the area's famous climbing spots.

What to expect

The festival offers the usual mix of ingredients that make Trentino village feasts so special:

  • Traditional cuisine with local dishes served at the food stalls;
  • Live music and entertainment to liven up the evenings;
  • Convivial moments and recreational activities for all ages;
  • Free entry for all days of the festival.

A community tradition

Entirely managed by the SS. Pietro e Paolo Festival Committee of Ceniga, the festival is a prime example of how the small communities in the municipality of Dro keep their traditions alive. More than just an event, it represents a moment of identity for the hamlet, capable of bringing different generations together around the values of the patronal feast and the sharing of a meal. Those visiting Garda Trentino in late June will find here the opportunity to experience an authentic celebration, far from the major tourist flows and deeply rooted in the territory.
