Three days of celebration, art, and tradition in the streets of Castagnole Piemonte
The Spring Fair is the event that kicks off the beautiful season in Castagnole Piemonte, a town of just over two thousand inhabitants nestled in the plains southwest of Turin, in Piedmont. Every year, at the beginning of April, the historic center transforms into a large, vibrant festival space: for three days, the streets come alive with stalls, exhibitions, art competitions, performances, and social gatherings designed for all ages. In 2026, the event reached the milestone of its tenth edition, a sign of a tradition now deeply rooted in the life of the local community.
The program spans three days, each with its own unique identity. The fair opens with the Spring Run, a running event open to everyone that offers an 8 km race and a 3 km non-competitive walk along the village streets and the surrounding countryside, organized with the technical collaboration of local sports groups. The main day, Sunday, is the most packed: the highlight is PrimaVerArte, a prize-winning painting competition dedicated to the landscapes and historic corners of Castagnole, accompanied by the new photography contest Pet in mostra, dedicated to the bond between people and their pets.
Alongside the art competitions, the Spring Fair offers numerous entertainment opportunities: vintage car and motorcycle rallies, events dedicated to four-legged friends with dog training demonstrations and parades, dance performances, theatrical shows in the village oratory, and the unmissable market of merchants and hobbyists winding through the town center. The simple and popular formula makes the event a meeting point for both residents and visitors from neighboring towns.
The Spring Fair is organized by the Municipal Administration of Castagnole Piemonte in collaboration with local associations, artists, businesses, and village volunteers. The event represents one of the most cherished moments of the year for the local community and an opportunity to rediscover, in the open air and with the arrival of spring, the most authentic face of a village in the Turin plains.

Castagnole Piemonte is located in the plains southwest of Turin. By car, it is easily reached via the SP141 and the provincial roads connecting Carmagnola, None, and Vigone; from Turin, the journey takes about 40 minutes. The most convenient train station is Carmagnola, on the Turin-Savona line, from which you can continue by car.
Access to the fair and the market streets is free. Some initiatives (such as the Spring Run or art competitions) require specific registration. For the updated program and registration details, we recommend checking the channels of the Municipality of Castagnole Piemonte and the organizing associations.
