Two days of sports, free trials, and non-competitive races in the heart of Valsesia
For an entire weekend in June, the center of Serravalle Sesia, in the province of Vercelli, in the heart of the Piedmontese Valsesia, turns into a grand stage dedicated to movement and outdoor life. The Sports Festival brings together local sports associations for two days packed with demonstrations, free trials, and non-competitive events, aiming to introduce people of all ages to the many disciplines practiced in the area.
Promoted by the Municipality of Serravalle Sesia together with the Pro Loco and with the collaboration of numerous local entities—from the Carnival Committee to the Alpini Group, from Amatori Sport to the E-Gravity Team—the event aims to highlight sport as an opportunity for meeting, participation, and discovering local activities. The town squares fill with booths, exhibitions, and moments of sharing: a chance to get to know the disciplines up close, meet instructors, and try something new.
The Sports Festival is not just a showcase for sporting activities: it is also a way to tell the story of the identity of the Valsesia region, where mountains and outdoor life are an integral part of the local culture. Between one trial and another, families stroll among the booths in Piazza Libertà and Piazza Primo Maggio, while in the evening, the night run brings the town streets to life. A young event that has already managed to involve the entire community.
The second edition of the Sports Festival confirmed the winning formula of the first: two days entirely dedicated to sport, local associations, and the community of Serravalle Sesia. The big news for 2026 was the climbing wall, set up with qualified instructors and open to adults and children. In the evening, the Notturna Serravallese lit up the town streets, while on Sunday, the Serravall'E-Bike took participants through the landscapes of Valsesia.
Serravalle Sesia is located in the province of Vercelli, at the gateway to Valsesia. By car, it can be reached via the A26 motorway (Romagnano-Ghemme exit), then following signs for Valsesia. By train, the Serravalle Sesia station is served by the Novara-Varallo line; the town is also connected by Atap buses.
Saturday's activities are concentrated between Piazza Libertà and Piazza Primo Maggio; on Sunday, the meeting point for the Serravall'E-Bike is in Piazza Tirondello.
