A masquerade celebration in the heart of Val Rendena
The Spiazzo Carnival is one of the most anticipated winter events in the municipality of Spiazzo, located in the heart of Val Rendena, in the province of Trento (Trentino-Alto Adige). Situated at an altitude of approximately 649 meters along the Sarca River, at the foot of the Brenta Dolomites and the Adamello-Presanella group, the village transforms for a day into a grand stage of colors, masks, and joy, captivating both young and old.
The event is designed primarily for families and children, the undisputed stars of the day. The festival brings together the residents of the main village and the hamlets of Borzago, Fisto, and Mortaso, as well as the localities of Ches and Teggia, in a moment of sharing that renews the convivial spirit of the Rendena community every year. The Spiazzo Carnival is part of the rich calendar of masquerade parties that enliven the Rendena and Giudicarie valleys during this season.
The day begins at noon with a traditional lunch by reservation, an opportunity to savor the flavors of Trentino mountain cuisine. In the afternoon, the festival comes alive with its most anticipated moments:
Spiazzo is one of the most charming destinations in Val Rendena, immersed in the Adamello Brenta Nature Park. Attending the Carnival is also an opportunity to discover a fascinating alpine territory, where folk traditions and community life remain at the center of village life. The masquerade party represents one of those authentic moments where the warmth of mountain people meets the desire to have fun together.
