Live music in the heart of San Sisto
Sound Sisto Live takes place in San Sisto, a populous district of the Municipality of Perugia, in Piazza Martinelli, near the library. Organised by the Associazione Carnevale I Rioni (The Rioni Carnival Association) of San Sisto, it is a summer festival of live music and gastronomy that, in over a decade, has become one of the most anticipated events in the district and the entire Perugia area.
Tribute bands, covers, and great hits
The heart of the event is live music: every evening, the stage in Piazza Martinelli hosts tribute bands and cover bands that perform great hits of Italian and international music, in free concerts that get audiences of all ages dancing and singing. The evenings generally start late and continue until night.
Good food, seafood specialities, and solidarity
Alongside the music, Sound Sisto Live offers a rich gastronomic selection, with seafood specialities and local cuisine dishes served at the stands. The festival also has a strong community and solidarity focus, with side events—from bike rides open to all ages to neighbourhood fairs—that make it a true gathering point for San Sisto. The 12th edition of Sound Sisto Live enlivens the San Sisto district in Perugia, in Piazza Martinelli, from August 21st to 30th, 2026. Ten evenings of live music with tribute bands and cover bands performing great Italian and international hits, free concerts for all ages, stands with seafood specialities, and the usual neighbourhood initiatives that make the festival a moment of gathering and solidarity.
