A stroll through the trails of Cellarengo to support children in Kenya
The Solidarity Walk in Cellarengo is much more than just a stroll: it is an event that focuses on sharing and social commitment. Promoted by the Amici di Mujwa ODV Association, the event invites citizens, families, and walkers to traverse the paths crossing the countryside of this small town in the province of Asti, in the heart of Piedmont, for a truly meaningful purpose: supporting schooling projects for the most needy children in Kenya.
The route is a non-competitive walk of approximately 9 kilometres that winds along the trails of Cellarengo, amidst rolling hills, vineyards, and typical views of the rural landscape of the Roero and Monferrato Astigiano regions. There is no need to be an athlete: the pace is free and suitable for everyone, from the youngest to the least trained, to enjoy the territory while walking in good company.
The walk is designed as a festive moment open to everyone. Four-legged friends are also welcome, and a small surprise is planned for them. At the end of the route, participants gather for the traditional spaghetti dinner, a convivial occasion that closes the day and strengthens the spirit of community.
Participating in the Solidarity Walk means spending a few hours immersed in the nature of the Asti countryside while contributing to an important cause. The initiative is now a highly anticipated event in the Cellarengo calendar and testifies to the vibrancy of the local community.
The 2026 edition of the Solidarity Walk was held on Saturday, June 13, in Cellarengo, in the province of Asti. The meeting point was set for 6:00 PM in Piazza Castelvecchio, with departure at 6:30 PM.
Participants completed a non-competitive walk through the paths and countryside of Cellarengo. The event, open to families, children, and dogs (with a surprise reserved for four-legged friends), concluded with a final spaghetti dinner.
