The snail is the star in the hamlet of Segno
The Snail Festival takes place in the hamlet of Segno, in Vado Ligure (province of Savona), and is dedicated to a specialty of the hinterland's peasant cuisine: the snail, prepared according to recipes passed down through generations.
Alongside the main dish, the festival offers appetizers, first courses, roast dishes, and local wines, in a menu that tells the authentic flavors of the Ligurian hinterland. Genuine and abundant cuisine, served in a popular festival atmosphere.
Organized by the S.M.S. Fratellanza Segnese, the festival has dozens of editions behind it and is a deeply rooted event in the life of the hamlet. An opportunity for the community to come together and for visitors to discover Segno and the traditional cuisine of the Vado Ligure hinterland.
The 68th edition of the Snail Festival was held from May 22 to 24, 2026, in the hamlet of Segno. The stars were the snails, prepared according to the traditional recipe, accompanied by appetizers, first courses, roast dishes, and local wines.
The festival, managed by S.M.S. Fratellanza Segnese, confirmed its longevity and deep roots in the community, attracting gourmets from the coast and the Savona hinterland.
