The National Golden Mushroom Festival, one of Liguria's best-known gastronomic fairs, is dedicated to them and attracts thousands of enthusiasts every September.

The heart of the event is the food stalls with typical mushroom-based menus, from first courses to fried porcini served all day long. A rich programme unfolds around the gastronomy: acrobatic shows, entertainment for children, bouncy castles, artistic demonstrations, and musical evenings with live bands. The National Golden Mushroom Festival 2026 enlivens Bardineto on September 19 and 20, as part of the Authentic Events of Liguria. For two days, the village on the Savona plateau celebrates the porcini mushroom with food stalls and typical menus, alongside acrobatic shows, children's entertainment, artistic demonstrations, and musical evenings. Among the highlights is the award ceremony for the King and Queen of the Golden Mushroom.
