About Slò Fest

Slò Fest is the distributed festival of slow and sustainable travel that transforms Forlì and its hinterland into a path of walks, music, encounters, and nature for four days. In Premilcuore, a village in the upper Apennines of Forlì, the stage that closes the event takes place: a trekking through the woods among panoramic clearings, ancient huts, and centuries-old trees, accompanied by stories from those who have made travel a lifestyle. An invitation to slow down and rediscover the less-beaten paths of Romagna.

Slò Fest, the slow travel festival in Romagna

Slò Fest – Festival del Viaggio Lento is a distributed event conceived by the Associazione Inzir – Viaggiatorincircolo, the association of travelers from Forlì. For four days, from June 11th to 14th, the festival winds through the Municipalities of Forlì, Forlimpopoli, Bertinoro, and Premilcuore, in the province of Forlì-Cesena (Emilia-Romagna), transforming the Romagna hinterland into a route of walks, bicycles, music, nature, and stories.

The common thread is simple and very current: experiencing travel in a slow, conscious, and sustainable way, counteracting mass tourism. The 2026 edition focuses on the theme of overtourism, tourist overcrowding, presented as a problem that concerns everyone and can be combated with simple, everyday practices.

The Premilcuore Stage

Premilcuore is a small village in the upper Apennines of Forlì, nestled in the Rabbi valley and the Casentinesi Forests National Park: the ideal place to conclude a festival dedicated to slowness and returning to nature. Here, on Sunday, June 14th, Slò Fest offers its grand open-air finale, with an experience that combines trekking and travel storytelling.

The meeting point is at 10:00 AM at the B&B Luna e Stelle, in the hamlet of Montalto di Premilcuore. From here, an excursion begins along a little-trodden wooded path, discovering panoramic clearings, ancient huts, and centuries-old trees. Along the way, participants listen to stories, experiences, and reflections on travel told by exceptional guests: a walk that is both a physical experience and an opportunity for encounter.

A distributed and participatory festival

Slò Fest is not an event concentrated in a single square, but an itinerary that crosses villages, churches, natural oases, and historic theaters in the Forlì area. Sunset concerts, screenings dedicated to cycle tourism, bread-making workshops, children's readings, regenerative treks, and dialogues with writers and travelers make up a program designed for those who want to discover the less-beaten paths of Romagna, far from crowded routes.

The event, born in 2022 and now in its fourth edition, has established itself over the years as one of the reference points for experiential and sustainable tourism in the Forlì area. The Premilcuore stage, in the heart of the Apennines, represents its most authentic and wild soul.

Slò Fest — edition 2026

The fourth edition of Slò Fest takes place from June 11th to 14th, 2026, between Forlì, Forlimpopoli, Bertinoro, and Premilcuore, focusing on the theme of overtourism. The Premilcuore stage, on Sunday, June 14th, concludes the event with a total immersion in the nature of the Apennines: trek and stories on "regenerative travel" led by blogger and podcaster Nicolò Volanti, with a meeting at 10:00 AM at B&B Luna e Stelle in Montalto.

The 2026 edition of Slò Fest, the fourth of the event, is held from Thursday, June 11th to Sunday, June 14th, 2026, as a distributed festival across Forlì, Forlimpopoli, Bertinoro, and Premilcuore, with overtourism as the central theme. Four days of events, walks, music, bicycles, nature, and stories dedicated to a slower, more conscious, and sustainable way of traveling.

The Premilcuore stage, on Sunday, June 14th, is the grand open-air finale: a trek in the woods of the upper Forlì Apennines accompanied by travel stories from guests.
