About Slò Fest

Slò Fest is the widespread slow travel festival that for four days transforms Forlì and its hinterland into a journey of walks, music, encounters, and nature. In Bertinoro, on the balcony of Romagna, the most evocative stop: Saturday evening in the Rocca park with sunset concerts, blankets on the grass, and great travel storytelling guests. An invitation to slow down and rediscover the less-trodden villages of Emilia-Romagna.

Slò Fest, the slow travel festival in Romagna

Slò Fest – Festival del Viaggio Lento is a widespread event created by the Associazione Inzir – Viaggiatorincircolo, the travelers' association of Forlì. For four days, from June 11th to 14th, the festival winds through the Municipalities of Forlì, Forlimpopoli, Bertinoro, and Premilcuore, in the province of Forlì-Cesena (Emilia-Romagna), transforming the Romagna hinterland into a path of walks, bicycles, music, nature, and stories.

The common thread is simple and very current: experiencing travel in a slow, conscious, and sustainable way, counteracting mass tourism. The 2026 edition focuses on the theme of overtourism, tourist overcrowding, presented as a problem that concerns everyone and can be combated with simple, everyday practices. Slò Fest aims to be a small laboratory of good ideas and gentle travel.

The Bertinoro stop

Among the four locations, Bertinoro – the famous "balcony of Romagna", a village of hospitality overlooking the hills between the sea and the Apennines – hosts the highlight of the event. The Rocca di Bertinoro park becomes the stage for the festival's most anticipated evening: music and words at sunset, with the audience invited to bring blankets and throws to settle on the grass and experience the intimate and cozy atmosphere typical of Slò Fest.

The Bertinoro day combines daytime experiences immersed in nature and the hilly landscape – walks, brunches at local farms, meetings – with the main evening event under the Rocca, in one of the most scenic spots in all of Romagna.

A widespread and participatory festival

Slò Fest is not an event concentrated in a single square, but an itinerary that crosses villages, parish churches, natural oases, and historic theaters. Sunset concerts, screenings dedicated to cycle tourism, baking workshops, children's readings, regenerative treks, and talks with writers and travelers make up a program designed for those who want to discover the less-traveled Romagna, far from crowded routes.

Most of the events are free admission, with booking required; some experiences (treks, brunches, workshops) involve a contribution. The event, born in 2022, has established itself over the years as one of the reference points for experiential and sustainable tourism in the Forlì area.

Slò Fest — edition 2026

The fourth edition of Slò Fest takes place from June 11th to 14th, 2026, in Forlì, Forlimpopoli, Bertinoro, and Premilcuore, focusing on the theme of overtourism. The Bertinoro stop on Saturday, June 13th, culminates in the Rocca park with the "Racconti sotto la Rocca" (Stories under the Rocca) event featuring Gio Evan: music, words, and travel stories under the stars of the Romagna balcony.

The 2026 edition of Slò Fest, the fourth of the event, takes place from Thursday, June 11th to Sunday, June 14th, 2026, as a widespread festival across Forlì, Forlimpopoli, Bertinoro, and Premilcuore, with the theme of overtourism as its common thread. Four days of events, walks, music, bicycles, nature, and stories dedicated to a slower, more conscious, and sustainable way of traveling.

The Bertinoro stop, on Saturday, June 13th, is the scenic heart of the festival, with the grand evening event in the Rocca park.
