"Romagnola" is the name of the Ancient Hemp and Craftsmanship Fair in Gambettola, a town in the province of Forlì-Cesena in Emilia-Romagna. For an entire weekend in October, the historic center—particularly Corso Mazzini and Viale Carducci—fills with stalls, workshops, exhibitions, and the aromas of traditional cuisine, celebrating one of the oldest symbols of Romagnola material culture: hemp and hand-printed fabrics.

A heritage of fabrics, threads, and ancient crafts

Gambettola has always been linked to hemp processing and artisanal fabric printing: the town's historic printing houses, including Stamperie Bertozzi and Pascucci, preserve a tradition passed down through generations. The fair was created precisely to promote this knowledge, bringing workshops, looms, and ancient crafts back to life through live demonstrations and the exhibition of handmade textile products.
