Sinalunga in Pasta is the pasta festival that brings four days of flavor to the center of Sinalunga, a town in the province of Siena in the heart of the Sienese Valdichiana, celebrating the iconic dish of Italian cuisine. The event takes place in Piazza Garibaldi, the town's main square, which is transformed for the occasion into a large open-air village of taste.

Specialties on the table

The menu showcases the great classics of Tuscan and national tradition, prepared and served on-site. Featured dishes include:

• Pici all'aglione and pici cacio e pepe, symbols of Sienese cuisine
• Paccheri alla carbonara and paccheri with wild boar ragù
• Maremma-style tortelli and burrata ravioli
• Gluten-free options for those who need them

Pici, in particular, are a true local institution: a hand-rolled, thick, and rustic fresh pasta that is served in Sinalunga and throughout the Siena area, primarily with aglione sauce, made from tomatoes and the sweet garlic of the Valdichiana.
