The Siègra di San Iaco — the Ladin name for the Sagra di San Giacomo — is the patronal festival of Pieve di Livinallongo, the main village of the municipality of Livinallongo del Col di Lana, in the province of Belluno. Dedicated to Saint James the Greater, it is celebrated around July 25th and is one of the most cherished summer events in the Ladin valley of Fodom.
Three days of music, history, and flavors
The event, organized by the Coro Fodom (Fodom Choir), enlivens Piazza Nuova in Pieve for three days with a program that blends music, historical insights, and local traditional gastronomy. Concerts by choirs and bands, guest groups, and convivial evenings alternate under the banner of Ladin identity, while food stalls offer typical mountain cuisine dishes.
A guardian of Ladin identity
Beyond its religious and festive aspects, the Siègra di San Iaco is a precious opportunity to preserve and pass on the Ladin language of Fodom, spoken in these Dolomite territories. The Coro Fodom, long-time custodian of local song and culture, makes this festival a moment of strong cohesion for the entire community of Livinallongo del Col di Lana.

The Siègra di San Iaco returns to Pieve di Livinallongo around July 25, 2026, the feast day of Saint James the Greater, for three days of celebration in Piazza Nuova. Organized by the Coro Fodom, the patronal festival combines concerts, historical insights, and traditional Ladin gastronomy. How to get there
Pieve di Livinallongo can be reached via the SS48 Dolomiti road. From the south, take the A27 Belluno exit and then the SS203 Agordina to Agordo, then Caprile; from the north, from Arabba via Passo Campolongo.
