Gourmet street food meets major concerts on the Rocca di Capri Leone
Sicily Fud is the summer festival that has secured a permanent spot on the event calendar of the Municipality of Capri Leone, a small town in the Nebrodi mountains in the province of Messina, on the Tyrrhenian coast of Sicily. Originally launched as a street food celebration, the event has grown with every edition to become one of the most anticipated summer highlights in the Messina area, drawing thousands of visitors to the picturesque hilltop district of Rocca di Capri Leone.
The heart of Sicily Fud lies in showcasing the excellence of Sicilian food and wine, particularly from the Nebrodi region. Along the streets and squares of the Rocca, gourmet street food stalls offer everything from seafood specialties to traditional rustic flavors, alongside farm-to-table products and local delicacies. Cured meats, cheeses, desserts, and classic Sicilian dishes tell the story of a territory that prides itself on quality and authenticity.
Alongside the food, music is the main attraction: every evening, Piazza Gepy Faranda hosts a free concert by a nationally renowned artist, turning the Rocca into an open-air stage. Over the years, the festival has brought Italian pop icons and chart-topping stars to Capri Leone, with a program designed to appeal to audiences of all ages.
Sicily Fud is more than just a food and music festival; it is a vital opportunity for tourism promotion and development for Capri Leone and the entire Nebrodi district. Through social gatherings, authentic flavors, and live performances, the event offers visitors a complete experience that blends tradition, conviviality, and fun, helping to showcase the scenic and cultural beauty of this corner of the province of Messina.
The fourth edition of Sicily Fud takes place from July 31 to August 2, 2026, at the Rocca di Capri Leone, in the province of Messina. Three evenings dedicated to Sicilian gastronomic excellence, featuring gourmet street food stalls, farm-to-table products, and the authentic flavors of the Nebrodi region.
