A widespread festival in the heart of Ceva

Seva ca Bugia — which translates from the Piedmontese dialect as "Ceva on the move" — is one of the most anticipated summer events in Ceva, a town in the Province of Cuneo, Piedmont, in the heart of the Cebano area. For one night, the festival transforms the historic center into a large open-air stage where gastronomy, music, and culture mingle along the town's most charming streets and squares.

The origins

The first edition took place in 2019, conceived by the Pro Loco Ceva Tourist Association in collaboration with Confcommercio, local shops, and the Municipality of Ceva. The starting idea was simple and successful: to attract people to the historic center by highlighting its beauty and offering the chance to taste local cuisine. From the very first edition, food stalls and breweries enlivened Piazza Gandolfi, Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II, and Via Marenco, kicking off a tradition that has solidified over the years.

Taste and conviviality

The common thread remains gastronomy: along the route, you will find stalls and local restaurateurs offering regional specialties and modern twists, accompanied by selected wines and craft beers. Beef tartare, ravioli, tajarin, farinata, and traditional desserts tell the story of Piedmontese cuisine in a festive key, to be savored while strolling from one corner to the next.

Music, dancing, and silent party

Alongside the food, the evening is punctuated by live music: roving concerts in the corners of the historic center featuring emerging bands and local artists, dance performances, and Latin American dance demonstrations. The true beating heart of the night is the silent party, which in recent editions has found its home between Via Marenco and the cathedral square: with headphones on and dance floors spread throughout, the historic streets are transformed into a charming silent dance under the stars.

Art and photography

The event is also enriched by cultural offerings. The Church of Santa Maria, in Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II, has hosted photography exhibitions linked to competitions and local photography groups, confirming a vocation that combines entertainment with the enhancement of the city's artistic heritage.

A Ceva summer that continues

Seva ca Bugia ideally opens Ceva's summer season and is part of a calendar of events that continues in the following weeks, including vintage and antique markets and the events that lead the city up to the famous Mushroom Exhibition in September. It is an opportunity to experience the Municipality of Ceva and its historic center in an authentic and engaging atmosphere.
