Chamber music in the courtyard of Palazzo Camelli
This edition has not been confirmed by the organiser to date. We recommend checking before going.
Settenovecento OFF is the widespread festival that complements the main Settenovecento festival in Rovereto, taking chamber music out of traditional concert halls and into the courtyards, gardens, and sanctuaries of the Vallagarina villages, in the heart of Trentino-Alto Adige. The Municipality of Villa Lagarina, an elegant noble village overlooking the Adige River in the province of Trento, hosts one of the stops on this open-air musical circuit.
The venue is the Courtyard of Palazzo Camelli (also known as Casa Scrinzi), a historic 16th-century building in the center of Villa Lagarina that now houses the 'A. Libera' municipal library and the Jan Novàk music school. The large internal courtyard with its arched portico becomes a natural stage for an evening concert under the village sky, in a continuous dialogue between music and historic architecture.
The Villa Lagarina stop is linked to the 'Wedding Day' program, a festive musical journey that leads from the Nordic atmospheres of Grieg and Britten to South American influences and tango rhythms. A brilliant and engaging repertoire, designed to create a dialogue between the great European classical tradition and the vitality of Latin American music, in front of the audience gathered in the courtyard.
The Villa Lagarina stop is part of a route that touches six locations in the Vallagarina — Isera, Volano, Brentonico, Calliano, Villa Lagarina, and Trambileno — in the first half of September. Gardens, courtyards, and sanctuaries are transformed into open-air concert halls, offering young musicians from conservatories and guest ensembles a chance to perform in public, and the local area a high-quality cultural experience at affordable prices.
The dates and program for the 2026 edition of Settenovecento OFF in Villa Lagarina have not yet been announced. The organization, the Filarmonica di Rovereto Association, has stated that the full calendar for the festival across the Vallagarina villages will be published in August 2026, along with the program for the main Settenovecento festival, scheduled in Rovereto from September 16 to 20, 2026, for its tenth edition.
As in previous years, it is likely that the Villa Lagarina stop will take place in the courtyard of Palazzo Camelli in the first half of September, with affordable admission. To find out the updated dates, times, and program, it is recommended to check the website www.settenovecento.it.
Villa Lagarina can be reached by car from the Rovereto Nord exit on the A22 Brenner motorway, just a few minutes from the center. By train, the reference station is Rovereto (Verona–Brenner line), which is connected to Villa Lagarina by short bus rides.
Affordable admission, typically €5 full price and €3 reduced. The courtyard has limited capacity (about 70 seats), so booking is recommended. Information and tickets at www.settenovecento.it or by calling +39 379 2823609.
The concert takes place outdoors in the courtyard of Palazzo Camelli: in case of bad weather, the event will move indoors (to the Town Hall Council Chamber), with notice given to spectators. It is advisable to check for any changes on the official website and to bring a light jacket for the evenings.
