Street food on the Seccagrande seafront in Ribera
This edition has not been confirmed by the organiser to date. We recommend checking before going.
The Seccagrande Street Food is a summer event held along the Lungomare Gagarin in the seaside village of Seccagrande, the most renowned coastal district of the Municipality of Ribera, in the province of Agrigento, Sicily. Located about ten kilometers from the town center, the village transforms in mid-summer into a vibrant stage where street food meets music and entertainment just meters from the beach.
The event has its roots in the Pizza Fest, a historic festival created to showcase the best pizzaiolos of Ribera and pizza as a signature local product. Supported by the municipal administration, the event featured wood-fired ovens set up along the seafront, tastings, craft and local product fairs, and performances by nationally renowned artists. In recent years, the format has evolved into Seccagrande Street Food, expanding its gastronomic offerings and focusing decisively on street food and evening entertainment.
The heart of the festival remains gastronomy: stalls and food trucks offer Sicilian traditional specialties and street food from all over Italy, accompanied by the conviviality typical of summer evenings by the sea. The program alternates between cabaret, open-air comedy, and live concerts with local bands and artists, while the famous DJ White Night transforms the promenade into a long marathon of music and dancing under the stars.
In summer, Seccagrande is frequented by numerous vacationers who crowd the beaches and seafront venues, and the Seccagrande Street Food is one of the most anticipated appointments of the season, alongside traditional beach games, fishing competitions, and the Ferragosto fireworks displays. The event, with free admission, is an opportunity to discover the hospitality of this corner of the Agrigento coast and the flavors of Sicily in a festive and family-friendly setting.
The Seccagrande Street Food is traditionally held in the month of August, spread over two weekends. The dates for the 2026 edition have not yet been announced: it is advisable to check the official channels of the Municipality of Ribera and the event's social media pages for the updated calendar.
