Local seafood tastings and sunset jazz at Belvedere Karapè
This edition has not been confirmed by the organiser to date. We recommend checking before going.
The Sea and Taste Festival is a traveling event that enlivens the villages of the Costa d'Oro—the stretch of Tyrrhenian coastline between Bagheria and Pollina in the province of Palermo—throughout the summer. The festival is promoted by the FLAG GALP Golfo di Termini Imerese with the aim of highlighting the maritime economy, local cultural identity, and sustainable, authentic tourism. Among the ten participating municipalities is Lascari, a small town in the Palermo area overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea, famous for its stunning Belvedere Karapè, a panoramic terrace that serves as the natural stage for the Lascari stop.
The evening follows the format that has made the festival a beloved fixture along the entire Costa d'Oro: it begins at dusk with a free tasting of local seafood, prepared according to traditional Sicilian recipes, and continues with a jazz concert under the stars. In Lascari, the audience has been able to savor dishes such as sarde a beccafico, pasta con le sarde, seafood couscous, anchovy meatballs, caponata with fried octopus, and swordfish with honey and mint, in a journey that tells the story of the deep bond between the village and its sea.
The Lascari stop is part of a broader program that, throughout the summer, offers not only tastings and concerts but also guided excursions to discover archaeological sites, nature reserves, historic villas, and heritage sites in northern Sicily. The La Costa d'Oro territorial brand brings together the municipalities of Bagheria, Santa Flavia, Casteldaccia, Altavilla Milicia, Trabia, Termini Imerese, Campofelice di Roccella, Lascari, Cefalù, and Pollina into a single experiential itinerary, offering visitors a mosaic of landscapes, flavors, and traditions of the province of Palermo.
At the moment, the organizers of the Sea and Taste Festival have not yet published the dates and program for the 2026 edition for the Lascari stop. The festival, promoted by the FLAG GALP Golfo di Termini Imerese along the Costa d'Oro, took place in previous editions between the beginning of summer and September, with the Lascari evening generally scheduled in the month of June at the Belvedere Karapè.
Once the 2026 program is announced, this page will be updated with dates, times, tasting menus, and the names of the artists for the evening concert.
