Schiribiz is the Festival of Arts in Val Fiorentina, an event that brings contemporary art and craftsmanship to the ancient districts of L'Andria and Toffol, two historic hamlets of Selva di Cadore, in the province of Belluno. Organized by the Pro Loco Val Fiorentina, the festival chooses the stone and wood hamlets of the valley as its stage, the perfect backdrop for the exhibited works and for the creations made on-site.

The meaning of the name

'Schiribiz' means 'doodle' in the Ladin language, the historic idiom of the Dolomite communities. It is a carefully chosen name: the doodle is the first step of the creative process, the spontaneous gesture from which every painting, sculpture, illustration, or handicraft takes shape. The festival aims to pay homage to those who, with passion and creativity, transform an idea into a completed work.

A day of widespread creativity

During Schiribiz, the streets and spaces of the two hamlets fill with exhibitions of works, live demonstrations, and interactive workshops. Painters, sculptors, illustrators, creators of bas-reliefs, and artisans from various disciplines meet, in a journey that blends visual art and traditional crafts. The event is also a way to experience Val Fiorentina, a valley nestled between Pelmo and Civetta, in the heart of the UNESCO World Heritage Dolomites, in a different way.
