The flavours of the mountains in the square
The Markets of Typical Products of Canale d'Agordo are the summer event dedicated to the food, wine, and artisanal excellences of the Agordo mountains, in the province of Belluno. They take place in Piazza Papa Luciani — named after the most illustrious fellow citizen, Pope John Paul I — and are organised by the Pro Loco Canale d'Agordo.
Stalls and tradition
From 8 am to 6 pm, the stalls fill the square with the typical products of the area: mountain pasture cheeses, cured meats, honey, jams, forest products, and creations of local craftsmanship. It is an opportunity to buy directly from producers and to get to know the rural culture of the Dolomites up close.
Discovering Canale d'Agordo
The markets are also an invitation to stroll through the village, among the mountain houses and the places linked to the memory of Pope Luciani, in the evocative setting of the Val del Biois. An authentic experience for tourists holidaying in the Belluno Dolomites and for those seeking the true flavours of the mountains.
Mercatini Prodotti Tipici — edition 2026
In the summer of 2026, the Markets of Typical Products will liven up Piazza Papa Luciani in Canale d'Agordo on three days: 2 August, 17 August, and 30 August 2026, from 8 am to 6 pm. The stalls will offer typical products and crafts from the Agordo mountains, in an event organised by Pro Loco Canale d'Agordo.

Canale d'Agordo can be reached from Belluno by going up the Agordino valley towards Val del Biois, in the direction of Falcade. Parking is available in the town centre.
