A showcase for Trentino theatre
Scenario Trentino is a festival dedicated to dramatic arts produced within the region. This winter event is organized by the Municipality of Rovereto in partnership with the Coordinamento Teatrale Trentino at the Teatro alla Cartiera. The goal is to provide visibility to the companies, actors, directors, musicians, and playwrights who animate the Trentino theatre scene, highlighting their ability to move between diverse genres and artistic languages.
The Teatro alla Cartiera
The festival is hosted at the Teatro alla Cartiera, located in the neighbourhood of the same name in Rovereto. It is an intimate space where the short distance between the audience and the stage allows for direct spectator involvement in the theatrical experience. It is within this closeness that the performances of Scenario Trentino find their most authentic dimension, fostering a dialogue between artists and the community.
A programme of four shows
Each edition features four events with performances that vary in style, theme, and language: from literary monologues to contemporary investigations, and from circus theatre to social comedy. All performances begin at 8:30 PM and showcase the vibrancy of Trentino's theatrical production, which spans from revisited classical repertoire to original dramaturgy.

Scenario Trentino fits into this context as a precious element of the city's programming, valuing local creative energy and offering the public an accessible, high-quality schedule.
Accessible tickets
The festival maintains a low-price policy to encourage the widest possible participation: tickets are 9 euros for adults and 6 euros for those under 35 and over 65. Tickets can be purchased online via the Trentino Spettacoli portal or at the theatre box office on the evening of the show.

Scenario Trentino 2026
The 2026 edition featured four events at the Teatro alla Cartiera in Rovereto, all starting at 8:30 PM.
- Thursday, 5 February — Novecento, the famous monologue by Alessandro Baricco about the pianist born on the Virginian, performed by Mario Cagol with live music by Michael Strom, directed by Mirko Corradini (Compagnia TeatroE).
- Thursday, 12 February — Flyover Country by Evoè!, a raw investigation into the "flyover" United States, inspired by Hillbilly Elegy.
- Thursday, 19 February — Status Quo by Subliminati Corporation, a melancholic circus theatre piece about three middle-aged artists dealing with physical decline.
- Wednesday, 11 March — Gioco da ragazzi by Elementare Teatro, a bitter comedy about the generational conflict between a professor and his university students.
Tickets were available for 9 euros (full price) and 6 euros (reduced for under 35s and over 65s).

By train: Rovereto railway station on the Brenner line, just a few minutes from the theatre. By car: take the Rovereto Sud or Rovereto Nord exit on the A22 Brenner motorway.

Full price 9 euros, reduced 6 euros (under 35 and over 65). Purchase online at www.trentinospettacoli.it or at the theatre box office from 7:30 PM on the evening of the show. Performances start at 8:30 PM.
