A village among the most beautiful in Italy

Golferenzo, a small municipality in the province of Pavia, is one of the Most Beautiful Villages in Italy: an ancient settlement perched among the hills of the Alta Valle Versa, in the heart of the Oltrepò Pavese, a land of great wines. It is in this setting that, since 2011, SaXBere Street Food & Wine, a food and wine event organized by the SaXbere Association, comes to life.

Oltrepò Wines and Street Food

The evening, which takes place from 7 PM until late at night, transforms the village streets into a tasting route. Over fifty excellent producers from the Oltrepò Pavese present their wines, from Bonarda to Pinot Nero, accompanied by typical local products and street food offerings. An opportunity to discover the labels from one of Lombardy's most important wine-growing areas, while strolling through the illuminated alleys.

What makes SaXBere special is the blend of food and wine quality and the charm of the village. Drinking a glass of Bonarda among the ancient houses of Golferenzo, with the Oltrepò hills all around, is an experience that goes beyond a simple tasting. The event showcases the Alta Valle Versa region and its excellences, confirming itself as a classic summer event for wine and good food enthusiasts.
