Savignano Wine, the wine of Romagna in celebration
Savignano Wine is the food and wine event that enlivens the historic center of Savignano sul Rubicone, in the province of Forlì-Cesena, in the heart of Romagna, at the beginning of July. For two evenings, the village transforms into a large open-air lounge where wine, artisan spirits, and good food become the protagonists, in a festive atmosphere that attracts enthusiasts and curious visitors from all over the Riviera and the hinterland.
Over 40 wineries and spirits from Romagna
Along the streets of the center and in Piazza Borghesi, the tasting route brings together over 40 selected Romagna wineries, joined this year by a section dedicated to artisan spirits and distillates from the region. The journey through the glasses is accompanied by guided tastings by AIS Romagna (Italian Sommelier Association), which offers insights into the great grape varieties of the territory and awards the best Sangiovese, the best Albana, and the best Rebola each edition.
Flavors, food trucks, and shows under the stars
Alongside the wines, food stands and gourmet food trucks offer traditional Romagna dishes and quality street food options. The evenings are enlivened by itinerant shows in the village streets and live music in the piazza, with concerts and performances that accompany visitors until late at night in a convivial and festive atmosphere.
The Savignano Wine Trail
Among the most popular new features is the Savignano Wine Trail, which combines the pleasure of movement with the magic of wine: participants can choose between a group walk of about 8 kilometers and a non-competitive run of 15 kilometers, through vineyards, country roads, and picturesque views of the Rubicone territory, with a tasting stop upon return.
A local event
Organized by the Rubicone Eventi Association with the patronage of the Municipality of Savignano sul Rubicone, Savignano Wine is now one of the flagship events of the city's summer. An event that enhances the food and wine identity of Romagna and the deep bond between this corner of Emilia-Romagna, its land, and its wines.

The 2026 edition of Savignano Wine will be held on Friday, July 3rd, and Saturday, July 4th, in the historic center of Savignano sul Rubicone. The successful format is confirmed: over 40 Romagna wineries and artisan distillers along the tasting route, guided tastings by AIS Romagna with awards for the best Sangiovese, Albana, and Rebola, food stands and food trucks, itinerant shows, and live music in Piazza Borghesi. The Savignano Wine Trail also returns on Saturday, with a 8 km walk and a 15 km non-competitive run through the Rubicone landscape.

Friday, July 3rd
From 6:30 PM, the tasting route begins through the streets of the historic center; from 7:00 PM, food stands and itinerant shows open; from 9:00 PM, itinerant shows and live music in Piazza Borghesi.
Saturday, July 4th
Savignano Wine Trail with start from Piazza Borghesi (8 km walk or 15 km non-competitive run); from 6:30 PM, tasting route; from 7:00 PM, food stands and itinerant shows; in the evening, AIS Romagna awards for the best Sangiovese, best Albana, and best Rebola.
The evening music and show program is under development.

How to get there
Savignano sul Rubicone is located along the Via Emilia, in the province of Forlì-Cesena. By car: take the Rimini Nord or Cesena exit from the A14 motorway, then the SS9 Via Emilia. By train: Savignano sul Rubicone station is on the Bologna-Rimini-Ancona line, a few minutes' walk from the historic center. Nearest airport: Rimini-Miramare.
Admission and tastings
Admission to the event is free. To participate in tastings, you need to purchase the official glass and tasting tokens, available on-site and for pre-sale online on the official website in packages of 10 or 30 tokens.

Tips
