Riccione Music City: the musical heart of Riccione's summer
Riccione Music City is the festival that ignites Piazzale Roma every summer, the famous square overlooking the sea in the center of Riccione, in the Province of Rimini (Emilia-Romagna). Promoted by the Municipality of Riccione, the program brings together concerts, dance performances, comedy nights, and radio-television broadcasts, confirming the Green Pearl's vocation as the capital of entertainment on the Romagna Riviera.
A program throughout the summer
For the 2026 edition, the program includes 22 events spread from June to September, alternating major free evenings and ticketed concerts. The festival also engages with other city events such as Albe in Controluce (sunrises in silhouette), the dawn concerts on the free beaches, and Riccione Summer Jazz, expanding the musical offering to more tastes and more locations in the city.
The big names in Italian music
On the Piazzale Roma stage, artists beloved by the national audience take turns: from concerts by the biggest names in Italian song to theatrical and comedy shows, up to dance and nostalgia nights that get the square dancing. Radio-television broadcasts, like the opening entrusted to Radio Bruno Estate, bring dozens of guests to Riccione in one great evening, later broadcast on television.
Free and ticketed evenings
A significant part of the calendar is free entry subject to capacity, while concerts by the most in-demand artists are ticketed with dedicated box offices. This mixed formula allows residents and tourists to experience many different evenings, from major free popular events to more exclusive shows.
Riccione, capital of the Adriatic summer
Nicknamed the Green Pearl of the Adriatic, Riccione has been one of the most popular tourist destinations on the Romagna coast for decades, famous for its beaches, clubs, and nightlife. Riccione Music City captures this entertainment tradition and concentrates it in Piazzale Roma, offering visitors to the Riviera a music calendar that accompanies the entire bathing season.

The Municipality of Riccione's festival alternates major free evenings and ticketed concerts, engaging with the Albe in Controluce and Riccione Summer Jazz programs.

How to get here
By train: Riccione station is on the Adriatic line Bologna–Ancona, a few minutes' walk from Piazzale Roma. By car: take the Riccione exit from the A14 motorway, then follow signs for the center. By plane: Rimini-San Marino "Federico Fellini" airport is a few kilometers away.
