Concerts spread across Terni's venues during the month of the patron saint of lovers
San Valentino Jazz is the festival that has united Terni and jazz music for many years in the most romantic month of the year. The format is that of spread-out music: the concerts, all free, take place in numerous public venues in the historic center - bistros, pastry shops, restaurants, clubs - and reach as far as the village of Piediluco, transforming the city into a large open-air stage.
The festival is conceived by Fabrizio Zampetti, with artistic direction by Alessandro Bravo, and is produced by Confartigianato Imprese Terni. The objective is twofold: to bring quality music to a wide audience and, at the same time, to energize and support the city's economic and commercial fabric during the month when Terni celebrates its patron saint, San Valentino.
The program ranges from jazz to its many fusions, with incursions into rock and pop music reinterpreted in a jazz style. Each edition proposes a dominant theme and hosts dozens of musicians, in a journey that enhances local talent - starting with students and professionals from the Briccialdi Conservatory - and nationally and internationally renowned guests.
The 17th edition of San Valentino Jazz animated Terni from February 5 to 15, 2026, with 17 free concerts in 13 venues in the historic center and Piediluco, featuring a total of 90 artists on stage. The dominant theme of the edition was Latin Jazz, accompanied by incursions into rock and pop music reinterpreted in a jazz style.
Among the most anticipated events was the Jobim Project on February 14: a tribute to Antonio Carlos Jobim with twelve musicians on stage, including Fabio Morgera on trumpet and flugelhorn and Brazilian singer Claudia Marss, alongside faculty and professionals from the Briccialdi Conservatory. On the same day, the Terni Jazz Orchestra paid homage to the memory of Francesco Falcioni and Marco Collazzoni, founder of the orchestra.
Participating venues include: Met bistrรฒ, La Cruda restaurant, Mio bio, Sporting ristรฒ, Calvani chocolatier, Bloom, Evy pastry shop, Lillero, Rag's club in Piediluco, Campagna Amica covered market, Rendez Vous, Pazzaglia and Carletti pastry shops.
Terni is reachable by train (Rome-Ancona line) and by car via the E45 and SS Flaminia. Concerts are held in various venues in the historic center and in Piediluco.
