Futura Summer Festival

A festival born from the youth of Vasanello

The Futura Summer Festival is the musical vision of the Futura Association, a youth-led organization founded in Vasanello in March 2024 with the goal of revitalizing the town's social and cultural scene through sports, art, and music. Following several successful initiatives, the association launched the first edition of the festival in September 2025: two nights of live music designed for the youth of the Tuscia region, attracting crowds from across the Viterbo province and beyond.

The debut: Nashley and the urban scene

The debut on September 12–13, 2025, focused squarely on the new Italian urban scene. The special guest for the first night was Nashley, one of the most recognizable voices on the national stage with over 293 million Spotify streams and certified hits like «Cenere», «Giovane e triste» (2022 Lunezia Prize), «Nuovi Jeans», and «Soli assieme». Opening the show were local artists Bleik, Sigh, Dust, and Sama, followed by an after-party with a DJ set by Matteo Petretti. The second night shifted gears with an opening by DJ D3N and a collective show by the Big Family, featuring Zena, Telli, Crocicchia, and LadyJanet.

Beyond the music: food, crafts, and culture

The festival is more than just concerts. Along the Circonvallazione Almirante, visitors can find a food court with options for every taste, craft stalls, and exhibitions showcasing local creativity. With free entry, the event functions as a contemporary take on a traditional village feast, blending the spirit of Tuscia's local festivals with the music that today's youth actually listen to.

Vasanello, a village in the Tuscia of Viterbo

The Municipality of Vasanello, in the province of Viterbo, is a village in the Tuscia region known for the Orsini Castle, its pottery tradition, and the patronal feast of San Lanno. With the Futura Summer Festival, the town adds a late-summer event for the new generation to its calendar, filling a gap in a Lazio territory rich in traditional festivals but previously lacking in urban music showcases. The collaboration between the Futura Association, local businesses, and other town organizations is a defining feature of the event.

The success of the first edition has sparked community enthusiasm, and the Futura Association remains active year-round with parties, tournaments, and events for young people.
