Sounds, rhythms, visions in the soul of the contrada
The BorgoMuse Festival, with the subtitle "Sounds, rhythms, visions in the soul of the contrada", debuts in Collescipoli, an ancient medieval village part of Terni, in Umbria. The project's ambition is clear: to make Collescipoli the "village of the arts" of the city of Terni, transforming its historic fabric into a widespread cultural space.
The artistic proposal is characterized by an experimental aesthetic, focused on a folk-popular music festival that spans different eras and traditions: from ancient and medieval music to Celtic and Irish music, from Brazilian and Klezmer music to gypsy jazz, jazz, swing, and blues. The musical program is complemented by theatrical performances and performance readings, as well as the promotion of the region's food and wine excellences.
The performances take place in the most evocative spaces of the village: the collegiate church, the cloisters, the squares, and the historic palaces of Collescipoli. The artistic direction is entrusted to the writer, poet, and journalist Andrea Giuli, while the organizational direction is by Professor Marco Diamanti, artist and sculptor. The festival is born from the BAC (Borgo Arti Collescipoli) project and has been approved by the Ministry of Culture, with the participation of the Academies of Fine Arts in Rome and Viterbo and the involvement of educational institutions in the Terni area.
The first edition of the BorgoMuse Festival takes place from September 11 to 13, 2026, transforming Collescipoli into an open-air laboratory of music, theatre, and contemporary art. The festival, approved by the Ministry of Culture, offers a musical journey ranging from ancient and medieval music to Celtic and Irish folk, from Brazilian and Klezmer music to gypsy jazz, jazz, swing, and blues, enriched by theatrical performances and performance readings.
The artistic direction is by Andrea Giuli, and the organizational direction by Marco Diamanti. The Academies of Fine Arts in Rome and Viterbo have joined, along with Terni's educational institutions such as the Casagrande-Cesi hospitality school, the Angeloni music high school, and the Allievi Sangallo technical institute.
The detailed day-by-day program for the first edition is being finalized. The review spans three days (September 11-13) with folk-popular music concerts from various eras and traditions, theatrical performances, and performance readings, distributed in the historic spaces of the village:
Venues: collegiate church, cloisters, squares, and historic palaces of Collescipoli. The schedule with artists and times will be announced by the organizers before the event.
Collescipoli is a hilly hamlet south of Terni, a few kilometers from the city center, reachable by car from the SS Flaminia. The performances take place in the historic village.
As this is the first edition, access methods and any tickets will be communicated by the organizers (BAC - Borgo Arti Collescipoli) closer to the event.
