The fish of Lake Como takes centre stage at the Moletto in Acquaseria
The Agone Festival is the celebration dedicated to one of the most typical products of Lake Como: the agone, a freshwater fish that is a star of Larian cuisine. It takes place in the picturesque location of Acquaseria, a hamlet within the municipality of San Siro, in the province of Como, at the Moletto directly overlooking the lake.
At the food stands, the agone is prepared according to recipes passed down through generations: carpione-style, grilled, fried, and in many other versions, accompanied by polenta, side dishes, and typical desserts from Lake Como. A menu that tells the story of the ancient bond between the community of San Siro and fishing in the Lario region.
The evening comes alive with dance music and, from 10 PM, with a DJ set under the stars, creating a festive atmosphere that involves residents, tourists, and families. Organized by the Pro Loco of San Siro, the Agone Festival combines gastronomy, tradition, and fun in one of the most beautiful settings on Lake Como.
The 2026 Agone Festival is scheduled for July at the Moletto in Acquaseria, a hamlet of San Siro, on Lake Como. The event confirms its established format: food stands offering agone prepared carpione-style, grilled, and fried, accompanied by polenta, side dishes, and desserts from the Lario region, and an evening enlivened by dance music and a DJ set from 10 PM. The exact date will be announced by the Pro Loco of San Siro as the event approaches.
The detailed program for the 2026 edition will be published by the Pro Loco of San Siro closer to the event. The usual structure includes:
Moletto, Acquaseria locality, San Siro (CO), on the shores of Lake Como. Reachable by car along the Statale Regina road.
One evening in July.
Free. Food and drinks at the stands are paid.
